I Have Finally Arrived!!!

"Jenn, you just gave birth to a toddler!"- Dr. Endres



Maddox Michael Smith was born on March 30,2008 at 11:56pm. He weighed a solid 8lb 14oz. and is 21 and 1/4 inches long. Maddox and Mom are doing really well and are getting much deserved rest. It was a long 21 hour fight with 4 1/2 hours of trying to get him out naturally. In the end we had to have a C-Section, but it all worked out because we finally got to meet our little man.

14 days to go!!

We have hit the 38 week mark and are excited we will get to meet our little man soon (very soon). We have to visit the doctor every 3 days and it is just a waiting game now. Who would have thought that after what was going on just a few weeks ago that we may actually make it to our due date?

The Little Guy Is Just Foolin' With Us.....

We went to the doctor today for a follow-up and to see if the baby will actually be born early. After all of the tests, Jenn's blood pressure, etc. is back to normal and everything seems to be leaning towards going to our due date of March 30Th. Jenn is still going to be on a limited work schedule and will be chillin at home on the couch. Just to be sure the doctor ordered an ultrasound which confirmed the baby is doing great. The sonographer asked if we had registered for a hair brush because he apparently has a full head of hair. We could also see him practicing his breathing, and at one point he stuck his tongue out at us. So, we guess our boy will be deciding when HE has had enough. Sooner Rather than Later

To give everyone a heads up, the baby may be coming sooner than we all thought. We will find out at our appointment on Tuesday the 4th if Jenn will have to be induced. There are some concerns about her blood pressure, etc. and it may just mean we will get to meet our little guy soon. I will keep everyone updated.....

Thanks for a Great Shower!!!

Jenn and I had a great time in Nevada for our 2nd baby shower, and we received a ton of great gifts. It was nice seeing family and we really appreciate how supportive everyone is. Thanks again!!!
